The news about IPOB women endorsing Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is relishing. Why? You may wonder. Well, in this election we hope to achieve more unity than we presently have in Nigeria. It is important we don't coerce people to support any candidate based on ethnic sympathy. IPOB members are still Igbos, and their women wing reserve the right to support whoever they want.
However, notice that the likes of Femi Adesina was quick to identify them as "Igbos" and not terrorist group. If the women had thrown their weight behind the LP presidential candidate, HE Peter Obi, they would have made a noise about it - "Obi is being supported by a terrorist group" - and other ridiculous theatrics that would have followed it.
Tinubu has the support of IPOB women and Bokoharam through his VP, Kashim Shettima. It's their çonquest, we give it to them. Don't count it out that killer herdsmen or bandits and Unknown Gunmen, UGM, will endorse him too. Then UGM would become KGM (Known Gunmen) and bandits will no longer be bandits but cattle rearers. Last year or so, I said that most Nigerians decide what is right or wrong when it is convenient for them. The wrong thing that favours them is right, while the right that doesn't favour them is wrong. I must have been referring to the ruling party. It fits them like the glove. Let's look the Obi-Datti way. It's the only way to salvation in our country.
