Firstly, due to Allah is profound gratitude for making our Ododo gubernatorial mandate to manifest into reality. Not because I am an Ebira, but because the message in it is the Lord's message of liberation of a State from the shackles of unproductive notion of sectional claim of majority with the proudly intention of one ethnic group posing the position of Lordship over cohabited others.
With the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello in 2016, they called it accidental, his re-election in 2019, they still called it incumbency advantage, but in this Ododo's victory as governor-elect despite that they won nearly all the local governments in their axis as they voted their own son, Allah let his will to prevail and they still lost.
Governor Yahaya Bello in his time is instrumental to the relative unity we enjoy in Kogi today having "EBIGO Initiative" introduced in his own time. When other contestants were preaching tribal Agenda, he cautioned his candidate Alhaji Usman Ododo against same and Kogi Agenda was upheld.
Because the governor-elect is a marketable candidate as deduced from his unique personal, administrative and human relationship qualities, he was believed by progressive minds as another right hand that Kogi State needed.
Trimmed down to my local government - Adavi, it will be an arm lost in the body of this writing if I fail to feature the outstanding performance of Adavi LG Executive Chairman in whose time, changed the LG's election scenario from opposition party's victory always to party in power's victory as a new order. Not by magic but by the led show of satisfaction with the leadership of the moment since his assumption of office.
The recent election that saw Alhaji Usman Ododo to emergence as governor-elect had Adavi played a lead to have recorded over 101,000 votes . I wouldn't call it recorded figure because on the election day, Adavi leaders had no business with INEC as they all stayed at their various polling units to exercise their franchise accordingly giving room for a free and fair election exercise.
Extension of appreciation also to other leaders in Adavi who genuinely worked in this period.
May Ododo succeed, May GYB occupy a higher juicy place at the Federal
May Hon. Lusty of Adavi find a higher space to continue his service of competence after he leaves office as ExecutUjive Chairman.
May we not be left out of favour in Ododo's regime too.
