GENETIC HEREDITARY: A case study of (BLESSING IN DISGUISE) Kogi Central in focus.
My silence over the months is neither out of cowardice nor is it a sign of prediction to failure on the side of the present Administration regime in Kogi State but to really study who and how we are considering the character and attitudinal behavior towards love shared among us over decades from generation to generation.
The recent study by Hameed shows that we hardly appreciate "our own" who is at the top burner representing us to make us proud rather than to launch offensive as a sign of appreciation in return. Later, when the truth prevail all we're good at is to celebrate the demise "hero", that is who we are.
Do you know that two (2) brothers, Late Adamu Atta and the current Ohinoyi of Ebira land contested for primary election in 1979 under National Party of Nigeria (NPN) on three (3) different occasions for Governorship aspirant where Alh. Ado Ibrahim defeated his younger brother to clinch the ticket but unfortunately, the elections was nullified. Reason, Alh. Ado was thickly rich and famous within and outside Nigeria, he was a very successful business man who can not be easily control by the "God father" (Sen. Alh. Dr. Olusola Abubakar Saraki) the father of the present Senate president of Nigeria. The result was later maneuvered in favor of Late Adamu Atta where he defeated his opponent (Ojo Olawoniyi) of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) to became first Governor ever produced by Ebira in Kogi central today to rule Kwara State from 1st October, 1979 to 31st December, 1983.
During his reigned, so many achievement were recorded in terms of roads, institutions, hospital and appointment but my people were blindfolded to all the benefits achieved rather than to criticise like the way we're doing to the present Administration not until few years back after his demise when we later realize the major achievement of our hero, Late Adamu Atta of his blessed memory.
At first, when Yahaya Adoza Bello declared his interest so many critics were coming from different angles. "He's from unknown background, he's too young, what elders cannot do who's he?, he has no political background" etc. Not little you know about the young man that he's determine with God on his side right from his university days as undergraduate where he made a vow with determination to rule his state with God on his side. The voice of an orphan is the voice of God.
How did we pay a man that promised to break the "curse from beyond" was a total BETRAYAL, die minutes his own brother brought someone from his house to compete with him, a political prostitute that lost out in his own legitimate party were been sponsored to destroy his brother's ambition where both shared delegates from his zone in between themselves as an act of betrayal. Now, the one and only option left is candidates from EAST and WEST at a very dicey and slim opportunity for the young man because the man who's tick to clinch the ticket is known as "untouchable, the king of the jungle".
Blaming Edward Onoja to me by those who fail to understand who and how we are is like drawing conclusion before analysis. This is the man that solely maneuvered over 300 delegates to his best friend against his father, this is the man that still give his best friend courage after they lost out in primary when Alh. Yahaya's brothers left him, this is the last Man standing who so much believe in his best friend. And now, you want Alh. Yahaya Adoza to pay them back at usual way of his predecessors forgotten that those you want him to revenge against are still the same people that pave way for him to the detriment of their blood whom they believe that has nothing to offer them.
Well, as the election is getting nearer confirm the history stated above to make your choice of decision. After all I Suleiman Hameed have contributed my own quota to deep in the history to educate the masses and am happy to be part to witness that faithful day we regain our freedom from years of slavery.
