TAAL WILL TAKE THE PARTY INTO MULTI FRONTED WARS

The All Progressives Congress has become a house in tribulations as varying interests group within the party have hijacked the rulling party to it kneels over who becomes the National chairman of the Party forcing the progressives to an endless shift in convention dates.

Sources within the party gathered on Wednesday the 23rd of February 2022 that though the governor of Nasarawa State seemed a favorite due to his CPC roots, power brokers between the party are keen on avoiding the Edo State scenario that led to the Party losing out to PDP decrying that Umaru Al-makura Tanko will  fall out with his State Governor leading to multiple in house fights that will jeopardize the outcome of the 2023 general elections for the party.

" The party can't survive multi fronted Wars"

In series of  indoor interview sessions with stalwarts of the APC, an anonymous source had informed our news outlet that, the decision to postpone the congress was reached due to unholy alliances between persons who their personal interest outweighs the Party citing an unnamed governor North Central governor who teamed up in alliance with governors from South East to allocate the slot to the Northwest.

The Party Chieftain stated that it is laughable   that people will suggest that, the National Chairmanship of the party isn't the birth right of the North Central despite numerous reasons they would have advanced.

This lame narrative had stirred a rebellion within th ranks of our party where in aggrieved  govenrors from the region  reiterated that, the "North-central has not been fairly treated politically. We are neither here nor there in political calculations and are hardly noticed even though the zone  deliverers block votes during elections".

Latest developments suggests the President has been adequately briefed on the turn up of events through the extraordinary caretaker committee and the Party has settled for North central to produce the National Chairman on the rescheduled date of March 26, 2022.

This development has triggered Senator Abdullahi Adamu into the contest but the former governor of Nasarawa state does not have the backing of the State chapter of his party who are in preference with Tanko Al-Makura.

However, majority of governors and several leaders of the party from various regions are in preference with the candidature of Senator George Akume, one of the founding members of the APC, a former two term governor  and    former minority leader of the Senate who is  currently the Minister of Special duties and Intergovernmental Affairs; due to his staggering political profile after naysayers have grown wary over the tendency of  incumbency power tussle in Nasarawa State consequently scheming   Tanko Almakura aside in order to prevent a repeat of the Oshiomhole  Obaseki faceout that may not just endanger the State but the entire Party during the 2023 general elections.
