We mourn death of Ustaz Sallahudeen with "Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un"

"To Allah (Almighty God) we belong, and to Him is our return.” (Qur'an 2:156)

I am deeply saddened by the passing away of Ustaz Sallahudeen  Al-Mufassir yesterday, buried today at Okene cemetery at the 6 feet deep Grave (Qabr).

Sallahudeen was a young Ustaz, very vibrant and he was amongst the outspoken student  of Sheikh Luqman Abulyatama and one of the reciters soothing Quran to Sheikh Luqman while preaching on weekly program and during Ramadan program for Tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis) respectively.

We met on Saturday 1st October 2022 at Darul Arqam High School Agassa Okene where he taught Tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis) as subject. After exchanging pleasantry with his usual crush smiling after eye contact, I introduced Muhammad Taslim Muhammad to him as a new student into Darul Arqam School whose parent has sent him all the way from Kano to Okene for his secondary education under the tutelage of Sheikh Luqman and the rest of teachers in this school.

He was excited and his remarkable responds to my introduction was directed at this new student; Said: "Muhammad Taslim Muhammad! Hmmm, I like your name. You are welcome to Darul Arqam High School Okene founded by Sheikh Abulyatama raised and continue raising a nation of Da'iyah for Da'wah (inviting people to ISLAM) is our duty Insha Allah."

He prayed for Muhammad Taslim Muhammad while urging him to feel at home.

That was my last encounter with Ustaz Sallahudeen Mufassir that Saturday which is four days ago while on Sunday delighted seeing him seated in the midst of other reciters soothing Quran recitation to Sheikh Luqman Abulyatam as usual on our weekly Sunday Ta'alim while I left Okene on Monday back to my station.

He had delivered Islamic lectures on diverse topics in Ebiraland, soothing Quran recitation for his teacher, leading Friday sermon and prayers  since he graduated from Sheikh Luqman's "Darul Arqam" High School Okene.

You hardly interact with him as brother on the path without

noticing enormous respect and love he had for his teacher Sheikh Luqman Imam Abulyatama and his family even during my last visit to Okene.

Indeed, Ustaz Salahudeen left us when we least expected of which made the devastation too grave for me in particular and the rest of our brothers and sisters on the path in general.

When I reflects on his efforts in complementing our Sheikh Abulyatama's propagation of Islam and Sunnah in Ebiraland. His death reminds me the last verse of The Suratul Kahf, that expressed death as a meeting with Almighty Allah and says:

“So whoever desires to meet his Lord, he should do good deeds and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord.” (Qur'an 18:110).

At the time of leaving this world, as attested to by the Holy Qur'an, a person will be in one of two states - either he will be of the Companions of the Right, or the Companions of the Left. If he is counted amongst the Companions of the Right, he will be in a good, final state, but if he is one of the Companions of the Left, he will be of those who have suffered a great loss.

We pray that May Allah forgive all his sins and count him among the companions of the Right. Ameen

I accept reality from what Ibn Umar (RA) said that: “When evening comes on you, do not expect morning; and when morning comes, do not expect evening. Take from your health (a precaution) for your illness; and from your life for your death”.

Ustaz Sallahudeen Al-Muffasir in his Friday sermon, often round it up with:

"Whoever want evidences, the Qur'an is enough. Whoever want intercessor, Allãh is enough. Whoever want admonition, death is enough. And whoever not satisfied with the the above listed 'enough's', then Hell fire will be enough for that person".

He was in the school yesterday Tuesday 4th October 2022 teaching students and other daily routines, he died after a brief illness in the evening and was buried this Morning October 7th, 2022.

The death of Ustaz Sallahudeen was announced to me through phone calls by 1:am and it shocked me because of who he was and what he represented before his death.

His funeral prayer was led by our leader, his teacher, Sheikh Luqman Imam Abulyatama at Ebira Central Mosque Okene and Hundreds of mourners including His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mamman Isa Okatahi The

OHI Of Okene attended the funeral rites of Ustaz Sallahudeen Al-Mufassir

May Allah forgive his sins, shower Mercy on him and grant him the highest place in Jannah.

Ameen.
