CONSTITUTION OF SIEC: A REDEMPTION OF DEMOCRACY IN KOGI STATE.

Hon. Engr. Yakubu Isah Jatto hailed His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for Constituting the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) to man a free, fair and credible Local Government Elections.

While addressing the nominees in Lokoja, His Excellency warns sternly against possible violation of electoral laws saying, that whoever indulged in rigging or violence of any type overtly or covertly in favour or fear of any candidate or party will be made to face the wrath of the government that could affect his/her plum job if caught.

Engr. Jatto who reffered to His Excellency's decision to conduct the Local Government Elections as a simulation of hope and redemption of democracy also opined confidence and readiness of His Excellency to further stimulate a better State for us all. He reiterated that His Excellency's love for humanity is second to none, that he stoutly remains committed to people's yaws is that people are beginning to appreciate the uncommon traits imbued in his ideology to governed the State with all sense of responsibilities even in the face of the recoiled financial capacity of the state.

According to Engr. Jatto, and because we have a leader who is masses conscious, it's expedient for him therefore to concede his personal interest to that of the masses. Only this could, no doubt, instill their confidence in his recognition of their supremacy and it would go a long way in convincing keen analysts nation wide of his ability to feel for others. Stresses that we must always attune ourselves to the reality of our Local Government and shy no more because ordinarily, a situation where a State Government is experiencing short fall in allocations, a vibrant and efficient Local Government Administration could ensure for its citizens satisfactory service delivery such that the impact of the shortfalls of the State would be cushioned.

That's why it is imperative to take proper cognizance of who we will entrust with the Office of our Local Government. It suffices to state that where the Executive Chairman is well informed about the importance of governance and service delivery to people, he would put the necessary machinery in place to address societal problems for development.

It is in the light of these that we suggest *Engr. Yakubu Isah Jatto* for the Government of Kogi State and the good people of Adavi Local Government Area to anoint him as the next Executive Chairman in Adavi Local Government Area for better governance.
