THE ORIGIN AND THE HISTORY OF ROTATIONAL SYSTEM OF THE CHAIRMANSHIP SEAT IN ADAVI LGA, KOGI STATE:

The traditional ways and arrangements put in place by the late Alh. Adamu Atta of blessed memory as far back as 1999 was though, unconstitutional and equally not meant to witch hunt any body or clans settled down in Adavi but it was designed purposely to rotates Chairmanship position among the notable and related clans traced to be having or originated from the same ancestral homes and background of the current place called Adavi LGA. 
However, it has been widely accepted as the most popular  formula used to rotates this position among the five (5) clans from the same father of our ancestral home of the time immemorial. The five (5) clans are as follows: 1. Aniku, 2. Uhami, 3. Ezuka, 4.Ezi- Adeika and 5.Anipopo-Uvete.   Though, many other clans equally settled down in Adavi LGA  such as Ezi-Onogu largely found at Ozuri and Anigwere and many others found in the other sub areas of Adavi LGA.  But history have it that the major five (5) clans rotating the Chairmanship are the aforementioned ones listed above.

 This formular has been enjoyed and brought peace and unity to the peoples of Adavi LGA since inception.  We can equally noted here that 8n most recent when the issue of OHI of Adavi came on board, the committee or King makers was selected to looked into the rotational methods of this OHI, where Alh. Abdulsalami M. Tenuche was picked to head the committee with the responsibility of arriving a logical methods of rotating the OHI stool in Adavi.  The committee quickly followed and recommended the same political method stated above. Hence, it was equally approved that the Ohi stool should be rotating among these five (5) children of the same blood from Adavi LGA. 

Conclusively, I was very glad and happy when the care-taker committee was recently extended to the clan not found in the above five (5) brothers, it was a good kind guesture but that doesn't mean we will not come back to our usual  traditional ways and arrangements  once the political window is opened like this for electing democratically executive chairman of Adavi LGC.  There fore, we all stand by this arrangement and it is the turn of Uhami to produce the Chairman of our beloved Adavi LGA.
